17 January - Ocean view, blue sky, very fresh Western wind and a rather good surf
View from our balcony. The other window opens on to a small village square, where the kids play football till late evening.

We are in Sidi Ifni, a village located at the Northern borderline of what used to be Spanish Protectorate. Up till 1969 when Morocco gained independance from France and when Spain gave up on most of ‘its’ territory.
The hotel is Suerte Loca, which translates from Spanish into something like ‘La chance folle’ or ‘Crazy luck’ and is run by Fatma and her older sister.
Getting used to Maroccan cooking. They use litle salt and quite a lot of cinamon. Very special.
