21-22 March - via Moulay Idriss and Meknes towards El Jadida

From the icy cold of the High Atlas we are slowly arriving into the apple country of the Middle Atlas 

Do you see the apple within the street decoration in the small town of Asrou ?

Although the sun is shining, it’s still cold - around 2˚C.   

There are magnificent cedar tree forests on both sides of the road.
The ride to Moulay Idriss is beautiful.

Over some stretches one could believe driving in Norway except for the fjords of course.

Moulay Idriss is small, only a good 11.000 inhabitants.   The small taxis here are pistache green, but the are of no use to us .... in the climb up a series of alleys and stairs to reach « Dar Ines », a lovely guesthouse overlooking the village square.
